BiographyHistory

Hutchins was a successful sculptor, painter and drawer. She also authored several books. Her novels My Hero and A Diary of Love were banned in Australia in 1954 and 1953 respectively. Hutchins is included in AustLit because her work was banned or restricted in Australia by the Federal censor.
