BiographyHistory

Chris Konrad is a Western Australian writer. He has co-authored several poetry books, including Sandfire (2012), published by Sunline Press, with two other WA poets. He has poems and short stories published in many journals and online, including Westerly, Regime, Page Seventeen, Wet Ink, Creatrix, Swamp, Axon, and Island. He is also published Best Australian Poems 2013. His book Letters to Mark was published by Regime in 2014.

Along his many awards are the Tom Collins Poetry Award (2009) and the Todhunter Literary Award (2012).

While his early degrees were in social science (including a Bachelor of Social Science and a Master of Social Science), he completed his doctorate in creative writing at Edith Cowan University in 2012, with a dissertation called 'Who Is It That Writes? Poetry and the Plural Self', accompanied by a creative-writing component, 'Letters to Mark' [poetry].
