BiographyHistory

Elizabeth Leane has been a lecturer in the School of English, Journalism and European Languages at the University of Tasmania. In 2004, Leane received an Antarctic Arts Fellowship from the Australian Antarctic Division. Her ongoing interest in the Antarctic region is evidenced in her writing and through her online bibliography of texts, Representations of Antarctica : A Bibliography (http://www.utas.edu.au/english/Representations_of_Antarctica/). Her social history of Antarctica, South Pole: Nature and Culture, was shortlisted for the Margaret Scott Prize in 2017.
