Prem Kumar Rajaram has researched issues of refugees and detention in Malaysia, Australia and the European Union. He has worked at the Department of Sociology and Social Anthropology at the Central European University, Budapest and was previously in the Department of Geography, National University of Singapore, from where much of his research on Australia was undertaken.
