BiographyHistory

Journalist and broadcaster.

During her long career in Australian journalism, Geraldine Doogue has worked on newspapers including the West Australian (where she completed her cadetship) and the Australian. She has presented television and radio news programs including The National, Eyewitness News, Life Matters, and Compass. As part of the ABC's coverage of the Gulf War, she received a United Nations Media Peace Prize and two Penguin Awards.

In 2014, Doogue published her first book, The Climb: Conversations with Australian Women in Power.
