BiographyHistory

Walter Troedel and Edward Cooper, both former employees of the lithographic printing firm Charles Troedel & Co., purchased the company from the estate of Charles Troedel after the latter's death in 1906, establishing the firm of Troedel and Cooper. Like the earlier establishment, Troedel and Cooper specialised in commercial lithographic printing. George Johnston was an apprentice there in the 1930s, and would later write a fictionalised account of his experiences in his novel My Brother Jack.

Troedel and Cooper joined with a public company in 1966 to become McLaren, Troedel & Cooper. The business was subsequently on sold to an English company, the DRG Group.
