BiographyHistory

A Sydney printer, publisher and bookbinder, Addison specialised in non-conformist religious tracts. Among his early publications were sermons by the English congregationalist Thomas Binney (who visited Australia in 1857-1859), and the Baptist preacher C. H. Spurgeon. Addison also published the short-lived periodicals The Christian Pleader (1860-1861?), and The Australian Protestant Banner (1868-1869).
