BiographyHistory

Catie Gilchrist graduated from Glasgow University, Scotland, in 1997 and completed a Masters degree in Women's History at Royal Holloway and Bedford New College, University of London. In 2004 she was awarded a PhD from the University of Sydney, and continued working as an Early Career Research Fellow in the Department of History at the University of Sydney.

Apart from works individually indexed on AustLit, she is the author of Murder, Misadventure & Miserable Ends, a history of life and death in nineteenth-century Sydney.
