BiographyHistory

G. M. Smith also co-wrote (with T. J. Mitchell) Medical services: Casualties and Statistics of the Great War (1930), a history of World War One based on official documents. About Smith's writing name, Percival Serle states: ' "Steele Grey" was also the pen name of an earlier and better writer, John Steele Robertson, who died comparatively young without having published a volume.'
