BiographyHistory

Journalist, broadcaster, screenwriter, amateur musicologist, and film and television director.

During the 1960s, Stephen MacLean worked on ABC Television's music show GTK and the surf/music magazine Go-Set. He later wrote the screenplay for Gillian Armstrong's first feature film, the musical Starstruck (q.v., 1982) and a biography of Peter Allen The Boy from Oz (q.v., 1996). Among his works as a director is Around the World in 80 Ways (1988).
