In 2006, following the 2005 retirement of
Agnes Nieuwenhuisen (q.v.), Paula Kelly became the manager of the
Centre for Youth Literature (q.v.), based at the State Library of Victoria. Kelly has also been the chair of the May Gibbs Children's Literature Trust and her work in the children's literature field has earned her a Dromkeen High Commendation.
