1 form Unsuccessful Applicant Marshall Napier , 2009 single work drama radio play

'It's natural for a young man applying for a job in the publishing industry to be pleased, although somewhat nervous, when he's called for an interview. Ralph thinks that he can handle it but he soon finds himself floundering under a barrage of unexpected questions.

'It seems that the people he meets might be expecting a considerable amount more from him than he was anticipating. For one thing, some of the questions are far more personal than usual and he is asked to explain his views on some social and ethical issues that seem totally irrelevant to the position. Of course, he wants to create a positive impression but he is soon wondering where to draw the line.

'This wonderfully funny and sympathetic account of Ralph's experience entertains from beginning to darkly surprising end.'

1 3 Freak Winds Marshall Napier , 1999 single work drama

'In a quiet neighbourhood on a dangerously stormy night, brash insurance salesman Henry Crumb invades the home of the reclusive Ernest and his mysterious companion Myra. Although Ernest seems like the perfect patsy, Henry's sales-pitch doesn't go as planned and the evening soon takes a strange and unsettling turn...

'Red line Productions is proud to announce the long awaited revival of Marshall Napier's classic 'Freak Winds' - one of the most celebrated Australian plays in recent years. We are bringing this gothic thriller back to its original home at the Old Fitzroy Theatre where it first saw life over a decade ago (before going on to a number of highly successful international productions). As in the acclaimed original, Marshall Napier is on board to act and direct.' (2015 production summary)
