BiographyHistory

Dr Bennett, a solicitor and barrister, taught law at the University of Sydney and the University of Technology Sydney. He was a Senior Research Fellow at The Australian National University in the Research School of Social Sciences. He was Editor-in-Chief of the 2nd and the 3rd editions of The Australian Digest, and editor of Australian Law Journal Reports. His other major publications include A History of the Supreme Court of NSW (1974) and A History of Solicitors in NSW (1984).
