BiographyHistory

Amy Coventry was a late 19th and early 20th century Brisbane socialite and journalist. At various points she ran and edited three Brisbane society magazines: The Princess (began ca. 1889), Flashes (began 1891) and Social Column (began 1903). She was the wife of mining entrepreneur and speculator Tom Coventry (d. 1912), and the grand-daughter of British Admiral John Ibbetson Hollinworth.
