BiographyHistory

Adeeb Kamal Ad-Deen was born in Iraq and has published widely in English and Arabic. He is a poet, journalist and translator with degrees in economics and English literature. In Iraq he worked as an editor on journals including Alef-Ba, Afaq Arabia, and Asfar. His poetry has been translated into English, German, French, Kurdish, and Romanian.

Adeeb Kamal Ad-Deen now lives in Australia, where he is a member of the South Australian Writers' Centre and the Friendly Street Poets, Adelaide. His first book to be translated into English was published in Australia in 2009.
