David Thosby has been professor of economics at Macquarie University. He has written on the economics of art and culture. Throsby has been a consultant to the World Bank, the OECD, FAO and UNESCO, and has chaired three Prime Minister's Working Groups on sustainable development. He has also been President of the Association for Cultural Economics International.
