From an obituary (probably by Louisa Lawson) in The Dawn 15.9 (1 Jan. 1903), p.28:
'In the death of Miss Annie Clark Holden, which took place on the 18th December, the "Dawn" has lost one of its oldest and most valued supporters. The deceased lady was charitable, clever, virtuous and brave. She possessed literary and poetic gifts of no mean order, and contributions from her fertile pen have appeared from time to time in the columns of the "Dawn".'
