BiographyHistory

Danial Kogan was two days old when his father, sister and brother were arrested near Vichy, France, and transported to Auschwitz concentration camp where they were killed. Kogan came to Australia with his mother after the war. In 1979 he gave up teaching to concentrate on his art. His work is represented in several collections including Artbank, the National Gallery of Victoria, the Museum of Modern Art, Heide, the War Memorial of Canberra, the Jewish Museum of Australia and the Crown Casino.
