BiographyHistory

Garry Braude was born in East Prussia. His family fled the country six weeks before the outbreak of World War II; the family's shop in Tilsit had been destroyed by the Nazis and Braude's school razed.

Braude and his wife, Nola Braude, established an outstanding record of volunteer activity in Australia. Their work earned each of them an Order of Australia and a Centenary Medal.
