BiographyHistory

Halina Trachtenberg survived the occupation of Poland in World War II, married after the war and lived under communist rule for twelve years before emigrating to Israel and ultimately Australia. After the death of her husband in 1976, she undertook formal study and graduated in 1979 with Masters' degrees in Librarianship and Clinical Psychology. Her autobiography was published in 2005.
