BiographyHistory

Born in England, Vincent Pike came to Australia in 1851. He settled initially in South Australia before taking up residence on the Victorian goldfields. Pike was elected to the Victorian Legislative Assembly in the late 1850s, but migrated to New Zealand in 1862 for health reasons. He became well known as a writer, journalist and businessman.
