BeWrite Books launched as a publisher of exclusive new high quality fiction and over the next twelve years released around a dozen titles a year in paperback - each covered by a full ebook version. BeWrite Books also produced several sole-authored poetry collections each year. Based in Europe for its first decade, the company re-located its administration to Langley, British Columbia (Canada) in February 2010. The team was scattered around the world, however, as were its authors and printers.
The company began winding down its operations from mid-2012, and eventually closed on March 31, 2013. In late-2012 BeWrite Books established an informal relationship with new London-based digital house Endeavour Press, with the object being to provide publication opportunities for any BeWrite Books authors who wished to continue releasing works through an established publishing house. The rights to a number of BeWrite Books were also transferred to Endeavour Press. The publishing rights for all all BeWrite Books authors were fully restored with no strings attached in 2012.
