English-born Mick Leigh migrated to Australia at the age of nineteen. He travelled widely within the country working at a range of jobs and for a time he owned a small property in New South Wales. Returning to England in 1997 Leigh took up work at a holiday camp performing poetry and euologising the Australian bush and its fauna. This led to work in schools and with other groups before his return to Australia.
Leigh is an advocate for animal rights and environmental issues.
