BiographyHistory

Melbourne-based James Phelan has been a freelance writer and, since 2001, has run James Phelan Literary Services. After high school he studied Architecture, and afterwards English Literature, graduating with a Master of Arts in Writing. During his Masters studies he developed the idea that would become his first published book, Literati. He has undertaken PhD studies and has also taught in the Master of Arts writing programme at Swinburne University, Melbourne, as well as writing regularly for the Melbourne Age newspaper.
