BiographyHistory

James Doig lives in Canberra where he works at the National Archives of Australia. He grew up in Fremantle, Western Australia, and attended Christ Church Grammar School. He obtained a BA at the University of Western Australia before completing a Ph D in medieval history at the University of Wales, Swansea.

Doig has published a number of anthologies and single author collections of supernatural stories by colonial Australian authors. He has also published articles about obscure writers of horror and supernatural stories such as 'Keith Fleming,' R.R. Ryan and Reginald Hodder, as well as Australian writers and artists of pulp fiction such as Frank Benier, Ray Slattery and James Holledge.
