Adam Grosetti was born in Innisfail, Queensland, grew up in Cairns and then for a time lived in Italy with his family as a teenager. He graduated from the Queensland University of Technology, and has worked as an actor, director and writer for the Queensland Theatre Company, La Boite Theatre and Belvoir Street Theatre's Bsharp. He has appeared in numerous television series, and has written, co-directed and acted in several short films. His plays include Dogs, Pitchfork, Lost Lagoon, Cavallo a Horse Cavallo, Bird of Prey, Hotel and Mano Nera. Mano Nera, a finalist in the 2004 Queensland Premier's Drama Award, explores the contribution of migrant communities to Queensland's culture.
