BiographyHistory

Albert Peter Mudge was a journalist and newspaper proprietor. He worked on papers at Corowa and Newcastle, then worked at the Sydney Morning Herald from 1906 to 1908 where he wrote the column 'On the Land'. He became political roundsman for the Sun, a founder of the Australian Journalists Association, and president of the Sydney Press Club. From 1922 to 1929 he was proprietor of the Inverell Argus. He then bought the Yass Courier which was amalgamated with the Yass Tribune to form the Yass Tribune-Courier.
