BiographyHistory

' Martyn Lyons is Professor of History in the Faculty of Arts & Social Sciences at UNSW. He has researched and published on the history of the French Revolution, on nineteenth century cultural history, and New Caledonia. His current interests focus on the history of the book and of reading and writing practices, in Europe and Australia. He was awarded the Centenary Medal in 2003 and was President of the Australian Historical Association (2008-2010).' (Source: The Australian Academy of the Humanities website)
