BiographyHistory

The publishing company Bell and Daldy was formed when George Bell, who had been publishing in London since 1839, entered into partnership with Frederick R. Daldy in 1856. The partnership ended in 1873 and George Bell continued his business with his sons as George Bell and Sons, and Daldy joined with Thomas Spalding and J. S. Virtue in Virtue, Spalding and Daldy.
