BiographyHistory

Northern Territory politician, Marion Scrymgour was elected in 2001. She was the first Indigenous woman to hold a ministerial position in government in Australia.

Her website specifies that her 'mother is Tiwi, and my father is a stolen generation Anmatjere man.'
