BiographyHistory

Buruwola Algarra went to a missionary school in the Kimberleys. She spent many hours in the bush learning to hunt small game, to fish and to dig for yams in traditional ways. Algarra married Wilfred Goonak and has a son and an adopted daughter. She has been a literacy tutor at Mowanjum village and a representative at an Aboriginal Women's Conference in Arnhem Land.
