Established in 1869 by William Copp and Henry Clark. By the early 1900s, Copp Clark had evolved into a major publisher of textbooks, primarily in language arts and mathematics. As well as producing books and stationery items, the company established its own typesetting, printing, and binding operations, branching out as well into games and greeting card manufacturing. The firm survived in verious commercial forms until June 1998 when Copp Clark Professional, the only remaining division of Copp Clark, ceased operations.
