BiographyHistory

'Black Swan Press began in 1992 as a small press owned by the Department of Communications and Cultural Studies at Curtin University. In September of 2003 the press underwent rejuvenation. Although still situated within the renamed School of Communications and Cultural Studies, the Faculty of Humanities is now a key contributor to the press. With this increased support, Black Swan Press will grow into a boutique press that seeks to publish interesting books in a range of genres and fields. The Press is committed to publishing books that contribute in bold and innovative ways to current debates or that are written in a manner that challenges established norms. Black Swan Press welcomes works that are outside the mainstream and that have an important contribution to make in a given field.'
