BiographyHistory

Tiffany Barton is a playwright, actress, producer and storyteller.

Her shows The Garden and Polly’s Waffle both sold out at the Perth Fringe in 2012 and 2013. Polly’s Waffle performed at the New York Fringe Festival in 2013 and received a rave review. The Garden was nominated for a Best Theatre Award. Her play Run Kitty Run (commissioned by Barking Gecko Theatre Company) was nominated for a Best New Play award in 2008 (Perth Equity Guild).

She has written commissions for the WA Maritime Museum, Barking Gecko, Rio Tinto, Woodside Mining, The Michael Leslie Foundation and many schools in the Perth metropolitan area.

She has also been published in Best Australian Stories 2004, Cosmopolitan, Sitelines, Emerge, and Thirst.

Her one-woman show Suitcase Stories has toured throughout Perth, Melbourne, Sydney, Canberra, and Adelaide. She has toured extensively throughout the Pilbara, teaching drama and conducting collaborative script-writing workshops in remote communities. She has also taught many theatre and writing workshops throughout Perth for Barking Gecko Theatre Company and Creative Collaborations.
