BiographyHistory

Michael Dwyer was a participant in the Irish uprising of 1798. After choosing voluntary exile to New South Wales, Dwyer was charged with inciting rebellion. Although acquitted, he served time on Norfolk Island and in Van Diemen's Land. He is buried at Waverley Cemetery in Sydney.
