BiographyHistory

Gaye Chapman is an author and illustrator. She was born in Gilgandra but raised in nearby Mendooran in New South Wales. At one time her father owned an opal mine at Lightning Ridge. She has exhibited her art widely. She has studied fine art and design at various institutions, including Wollongong TAFE; the Australian Film, TV and Radio School; the University of New England; the Julian Ashton Art School; and the University of Western Sydney. She has a PhD in art.
