BiographyHistory

Rosemary Nissen-Wade, née Robinson, was born of an Anglo-Indian mother and an Australian father in Tasmania. She was awarded a BA from the University of Melbourne in 1962, with majors in English Literature and Philosophy, and went on to an 18-year career in librarianship. Living in Melbourne for many years, she was one of the founders of the Poets Union of Australia, worked as a performance poet, and for a decade was an independent publisher of Australian poets. As well as poetry, she has had short stories and book reviews published. Her work has also been published in two American anthologies : Di-verse- City 2006 : Anthology of the Austin International Poetry Festival and Forrest Fest Anthology 2006.

Nissen-Wade is a Reiki Master and a professional psychic, with a Diploma in Metaphysical Counselling, and has published a number of articles on healing in specialist magazines. She has also taught creative writing. She has lived in the Northern Rivers region of New South Wales since 1994.
