Maria Preethi Srinivasan has taught at the Department of English, Queen Mary College, Chennai. A 2007 visiting scholar at the School of English, University of New South Wales (UNSW) on a 2006 Endeavour Asia Award, she worked on her doctoral thesis on Australian Aboriginal and Indian Dalit and Adivasi Women's Life Writings. She received an Australia India Council Fellowship in 2008 to present her doctoral research as a documentary film.
