BiographyHistory

Alice Garner is the daughter of author Helen Garner and playwright Bill Garner. A talented musician, linguist and actor, Garner was a co-founder of Actors for Refugees. Her PhD history thesis was published as A Shifting Shore : Locals, Outsiders and the Transformation of a French Fishing Town, 1823-2000 by Cornell University Press in 2005.
