Anu Singh, while a student at the Australian National University, was jointly charged with the murder of Joe Cinque (q.v.). Singh and her co-accused Madhavi Rao (q.v.) were initially tried jointly, but were later tried separately. On the latter occasions Rao was found not guilty while Singh was convicted of manslaughter.
