BiographyHistory

In his role as an academic historian, Dr. Robin McLachlan has taught history subjects at Charles Sturt University (CSU). As a practicing consultant in history and heritage (with CSU and his own company Time Past Productions) he has worked on projects and sat on management boards of numerous heritage and arts organisations.

McLachlan's research projects have included commissioned book histories, heritage reports, education programmes, exhibitions and computer-based products. In 1966 he was the Britain-Australia Bicentennial Trust Fellow at the Ironbridge Institute, University of Birmingham, and in 2004 was one of the judges of The NSW Premier's History Awards. He has also hosted workshops to inspire people to use theatre and drama to tell the stories of local history.
