BiographyHistory

Lidija Cvetkovic completed a Bachelor of Arts degree at the University of Queensland after emigrating to Australia. She has travelled widely and worked as a teacher and as a psychologist. As well as writing poetry, Lidija Cvetkovic writes and performs dramatic monologues and performance pieces.

y separately published work icon War is Not the Season for Figs Newtown : Vagabond Press , 2001 Z823140 2001 selected work poetry This volume of multicultural writing contains some 33 short poems, several of which were published during the preceding decade. Arranged under three thematic headings - Reliable Magic, The Process of Separation and Luminous - the poems often feature reflections of a single persona. Youthful memories of family life, marital and unrequited love in the Balkan motherland are recalled and circumscribed by the aftermath of recent civil strife and war.
