BiographyHistory

Rosemary Hemphill's childhood was divided between Broome and the home of her grandparents in Bromley, England. After World War Two, with her husband, Rosemary established Somerset Cottage, a herb-growing business, at Dural, north of Sydney. In addition to her memoir of her childhood in Broome, Rosemary Hemphill, with her husband John Hemphill, wrote numerous books on herb-growing.
