BiographyHistory

Norma King grew up in Gwalia, Western Australia and spent most of her life around the WA goldfields. Married when she was 17, she raised ten children as well enjoying a long career as a freelance journalist, an author and a family historian. She published numerous books on mining and on life and customs in the Western Australian gold fields. She became a Life Member of the Fellowship of Australian Writers W.A. Inc., the Eastern Goldfields Branch of the WA Historical Society and the Golden Mile Art Exhibition Group.
