Born in Hobart, Vince Jones grew up near Melbourne. 'The year after finishing high school, Vince was told he had a melanoma. After leaving hospital, Vince left his course and took up writing.' (Fifteen Plus) His novel is the story of a boy who overcame cancer. He has also had short stories and poems published, has written and directed a play and won the Frank Dalby Davison Short Story Competition.
