T. Wimble and his brother-in-law Tim Wall. From 30 June 1887 Richard Woods took over as publisher and editor, also becoming sole proprietor four years later. From June 1897 - 30 Nov 1907 the paper became known as The Morning Post, then The Cairns Morning Post from 2 Dec 1907 - 3 July 1909, before reverting to The Cairns Post in 1909. Also includes The Cairns Weekend Post.
