BiographyHistory

Hugh A. Borland was the son of Irish immigrants, Alexander and Annie Borland. On leaving school he was employed as a copy boy with the Cairns Post and went on to become perhaps its best known journalist. He was a prolific writer with a great love for, and interest in, the history of North Queensland.
