BiographyHistory

Lytton Strachey was an English journalist and writer who lived with artist Dora Carrington for the last seventeen years of his life. Strachey and Carrington generally maintained separate sexual lives but, on occasion, shared lovers. Strachey was a conscientious objector during World War I and an early member of the Bloomsbury set.
