BiographyHistory

Arnold Erlanger's family had lived in Germany since the 1600s. He was born in Ichenhausen in Bavaria near the Swiss border. He worked as a clerk in the 1930s and moved to Holland. A survivor of Auschwitz, he emigrated to Australia after World War II and settled in Adelaide, where he became active in promotion of Jewish culture and religion.
