Gillian Johnson is an author and illustrator who grew up in Winnipeg, Canada. She was a national speed skating champion and after completing her university education, taught English in Czechoslovakia and Ottawa. Gillian Johnson and her family divide their year equally between Swansea, Tasmania, and the United Kingdom.
